God this show – how does it keep getting better!? Once again it struck me how meticulously planned Kyousogiga is – it has clearly been created to make optimal use of its running time. This episode demonstrates that perfectly, we get the lovely little character moments that this show excels at, and we also get the plot kicking into high gear with the arrival of both missing parents in the Mirror Capital and the subsequent upheaval they bring. I don’t think they could have improved on things here!
This week – suddenly fighting super villains is completely normal! I’m not entirely sure what to make of the direction Samumenco has taken, but I am pretty impressed that they’re really going for it full tilt. If you’re going to drastically change gears you may as well go all out!
You know when I watching this episode I was mostly taking notes ready to talk about Masayoshi’s past and the tragic backstory trope popular in hero shows…but then the last 5 or so minutes happened, and…….well suddenly we have a different show entirely!
I know I say this every week, but I really do love this show – it’s just got so much personality! If only the animation quality could match up to the strength of the writing and direction it would be perfect.
Anyway, this week saw Samurai Flamenco receive his newest upgrade in the form of some pimped out stationary….yeah I love this show.
