Spring Anime Preview 2010

March 5, 2010

The Winter of Discontent is nearly over and Spring is nigh (well in calendar terms if not weather-wise), so as tradition dictates, it’s time for the season preview! This year’s Spring line up is a bit shorter than previous years – thankfully there are a few shows that I’m interested in.

I’ll shut up now – on to the preview!

Ikkitousen: Xtreme Xecutor

Website: http://www.ikkitousen.com/
Animation Studio: TNK (Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora, School Days)
Japanese Airdate: 26/03/10
Number of episodes:
Seiyuu: Masumi Asano, Satoshi Hino, Yuko Kaida, Kei Shindou
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcowgi4gTsw

Summary: It is Hakufu’s ambition to fight against new opponents from all over the world. To pay for the travelling expenses — to be able to visit these tournaments — she got a job, to earn enough money to make her dream come true. Little did Hakufu expect that new allies and enemies would detract from her goal. Or that she might even be considered a weak leader in the eyes of her companions. To top it off a sister suddenly appears, making it painfully obvious to Hakufu that she does not really know much about her mother’s past.

Yet another season of Ikkitousen – more of the same, you know the drill by now…..Shan’t be touching with a bargepole. Ever.

Shin Koihime†Musou ~Otome Tairan~

PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOU8SoRy4FM

Summary: Third Season. The anime adaptations re-imagine the characters from the Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms as a “moe-moe action love comedy” with an almost all-female cast.

Yet more of this?? It hasn’t been long since the last flipping series – is this really that popular? I found unbearably dull when I gave the 1st series a 5 ep trial……but I don’t think I’m the target audience anyway

B Gata H Kei

Website: http://www.bgata-hkei.com/
Animation Studio: Hal Film Maker (Aria, Princess Tutu)

PV:

Summary: In the story, Yukari Tamura will play the heroine Yamada, a virgin high school student who dreams of having 100 casual sex partners. However, she ends up targeting and pursuing only one boy.

I’m sorry what!? What the hell kind of concept is this!? And it got greenlit!? So last season we had a series about breast milk and this season is the adventures of a slut……yay?

Ookiku Furikabutte: Natsu no Taikai-hen (The Big Windup Season 2)

Website: http://www.oofuri.com/
Animation Studio: A-1 Pictures (Kannagi, Valkyria Chronicles)

Seiyuu: Tsubasa Yonaga, Chihiro Suzuki, Hiro Shimono, Jun Fukuyama

Summary: Second series.

The series, set in Saitama, follows Ren Mihashi, who had previously excelled as his middle school baseball team’s ace pitcher, due to his grandfather’s connections as its manager. As he graduates to high school, whose baseball team his grandfather does not manage, he initially does not believe he is good enough to succeed at baseball, however, but assisted by his friends, he grows in stature, confidence and skill, helping his team excel with his own ability.

I haven’t seen the 1st season, but have heard decent things about it. May take it up some time – Cross Game has somewhat nullified my hatred of sports anime……..a bit.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

Website: http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/maidsama/%5B/img%5D
Animation Studio: JC Staff (Nodame Cantabile, Hayate no Gotoku!!)
Japanese Airdate: 01/04/10
Number of Episodes: 13

However, Misaki’s most handsome schoolmate just discovered her secret — that she works after school at a maid café.

Hmmm. Pretty generic concept – sounds very like a shoujo version of Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu if you ask me. I don’t know, these kind of shoujo series just see to work better in manga form Expecting a lot of meido fanservice even though the source material is shoujo since JC Staff do like their maids Will give it a look, but not expecting anything from this if I’m honest.

Ring ni Kakero 1: Shadow

But during training the Shadow Clan, which uses boxing as an assassination technique, kidnaps Kiku in order to lure Ryuji and the others into a fight to see who’s truly the better representatives of Japan’s junior boxers.

Never heard of this franchise before – sounds ridiculous though!

SD Gundam Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors

Website: http://www.sdgundam3gd.net/
Animation Studio: Sunrise (Gintama, Inuyasha: The Final Chapter)
Japanese Airdate: 03/04/10
Number of Episodes:

PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YFcOWjruzk

Summary: The SD Gundam Sangokuden model series features the heroes of the Chinese literary classic Romance of the Three Kingdoms — only they have been re-imagined as two-head-high Super Deformed Gundam robots. Liu Bei (Ryū Bi) Gundam, Guan Yu (Kan U) Gundam, and Zhang Fei (Chō Hi) Gundam protect the legendary continent Mirisha from General Dong Zhuo (Tō Taku) Zaku, the assassin Hu Zhen (Ko Shin) Gyan, and other enemies.

I’ve never watched any of SD Gundam, don’t really plan on starting now……chibi-Gundams are all kinds of cute though!

Giant Killing

Website: http://www9.nhk.or.jp/anime/giantkilling/
Animation Studio: Studio DEEN (Hetalia, Umineko no Naku Koro ni)
Japanese Airdate: 04/04/10
Number of Episodes: 26
Seiyuu: ?
PV:

Summary: Based on manga by Tsunamoto Masaya

In Giant Killing a ragtag bunch from East Tokyo are struggling in Japan’s top football league. The team is going through an abysmal spell right now where they are nearing the bottom of the table and have lost 5 matches in a row. The losses haven’t done much to team moral, because it was already low. Fan support, on the other hand, is looking bleak. In the world of football, once the fans turn on a team the end is near. Teams don’t recover. Coaches are fired, players are sold, and teams drop to smaller divisions where profits often prevent them from ever being successful against even mediocre top division programs. East Tokyo United, ETU, can only blame their coach right now. And Coach is ready to give up this next game to prove to his team and fans, that against the biggest club in the nation he can make this team win.

Ah football how I loathe thee……..but I’m intrigued by a series based on proper football (not that American nonsense ) and all its intrigue – plus it seems this series has more focus on the coach and management rather than the players as is common on sports anime. I like the promo art alot……but Studio DEEN! I’ve been burned too many times by them. Shall be giving this a go.

Arakawa under the Bridge

Website: http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/arakawa_ub/
Animation Studio: SHAFT (Bakemonogatari, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei)
Japanese Airdate: 04/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Hiroshi Kamiya, Maaya Sakamoto, Chiwa Saito, Keiji Fujiwara, Tomokazu Sugita
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faax2A6H3zQ

Summary: Based on a gag manga by Nakamura Hikaru.

A young upperclass elite man, Ichinomiya “Riku” Kou, who has a policy of not being in debt to anyone, ends up owing his life to a strange girl who rescues him. Nino is a beautiful homeless girl who believes that she is a martian and lives under the bridge by the Arakawa river. So the young man ends up living there too.

Ah the obligatory SHAFT series. Lately I’ve been a bit wary of SHAFT, they’ve hit a bit of a rough patch recently but I’m still a SHAFT fangirl and Arakawa under the Bridge looks like it could be a great quirky series. The promo art promises some really colourful characters and if the writing is good this could be comedy gold. I’m quite looking forward to this!

Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou

Website: http://www.mmv.co.jp/special/daimao/
Animation Studio: Artland (Mushishi, Tytania)
Japanese Airdate: 05/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Takashi Kondo, Aki Toyosaki, Aoi Yuuki, Chiaki Takahashi
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez2jylVcdN4

Summary: Based on Mizuki Shoutarou’s magical fantasy romance novel series, illustrated by Itou Souichi.

In a world where magic is something supernatural, Akuto Sai is a boy, perfect in all, who wants to enter the order of the most famous magicians of the country and wants and help society. It is once admitted to the academy of Constantin Magic and passes a fitness test that predicts its future activities: The Demon King (Dai Mao) while there are over 100 years, a great war was ravaging between humans and the Demon King…

Meh, another shounen fighting harem fanservice series. Trailer really tells me all I need to know about this series – its filled with boobs and pantyshots, which means I’ll probably hate it. Still makes a change from the moe-moe crap that’s infested the fandom lately – I’d rather have these action series than those; at least the explosions are pretty! As usual I’ll be watching the 1st episode to gauge what the writing quality is like.

Senkou no Night Raid

Website: http://www.1931.tv/
Animation Studio: A-1 Pictures (Kannagi, Valkyria Chronicles)
Japanese Airdate: 05/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Daisuke Namikawa, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Takanori Hoshino, Yoshiko Ikuta
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLHiO3cg7D8

Summary: 2nd series to air in the Anime no Chikara timeslot.

The story is set in Shanghai in 1931, when the Imperial Japanese Army has been dispatched to mainland China due to the relatively recent First Sino-Japanese War, Russo-Japanese War, and World War I. In this cosmopolitan city of intrigue, there is a special military spy organization called “Sakurai Kikan” that has since been buried in history.

Oh now this is just a disaster waiting to happen! I can only imagine the controversy this is going to stir up as I doubt very much that this is going to have any real historical accuracy! Despite this I’m looking forward to this – the animation looks good, the cast is decent and above all, I have a morbid sense of curiosity to see how they pull this ill-advised setting off!

Mayoi Neko Overrun!

Website: http://www.patisserie-straycats.com/
Animation Studio: AIC (Ah My Goddess, Nyan Koi!)
Japanese Airdate: 06/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Nobuhiko Okamoto, Ayana Taketatsu, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Yui Horie
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKcVJzDUj1Y

Summary: Based on a romantic comedy light novels series created by Matsu Tomohiro and illustrated by Peko.

The story revolves around Takumi Tsuzuki, a boy who lives with his older “sister” Otome, although the two have no blood ties between them. Otome manages a run-down confectionery store called Stray Cats. One day, Otome picks up a mysterious beautiful girl off the streets.

My ears!!!!!!!!! Good god no! What in the name of Christ was that – the ‘Nyaaa~’s melted my brain! I also see too many cliché’s to count – this is going straight to the ‘not touching with bargepole’ pile

Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin

Website: http://www.ntv.co.jp/rainbow/
Animation Studio: Madhouse (Kurozuka, Black Lagoon)
Japanese Airdate: 06/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Shihori Kanjiya, Shun Oguri, Kaori Yamazou, Keiji Fuijiwara, Romi Paku
PV:

Summary: Based on Abe George and Kakizaki Masasumi’s manga series.

Around 10 years after World War II, a group of delinquents are sent to the Shounan Special Reform School and must learn to cope with the atrocities and unfairness they encounter there. A student that had already been residing there when the teens arrived acts as a mentor, teaching them about friendship and guiding them through difficulties.

I’ve previewed this before, but it’s actually airing this season Really looking forward to this – the concept sounds interesting and the art looks like it is a gritty watch despite the rather flowery name of ‘Rainbow’. I do enjoy a good serious drama every now and then – I heard very good things about the manga this is based on too. Definitely giving Rainbow a look.

K-ON!! 2

Website: http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/k-on/
Animation Studio: Kyoto Animation (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad)
Japanese Airdate: 06/04/10
Number of Episodes: 13
Seiyuu: Aki Toyosaki, Ayana Taketatsu, Minako Kotobuki, Satomi Satou, Youko Hikasa
PV:

Summary: Second Season

1st season summary: It’s Yui Hirasawa’s first year in high school, and she’s eagerly searching for a club to join. At the same time, Ritsu Tainaka, a drummer, and her friend Mio Akiyama, a bassist, are desperately trying to save the school’s light music club, which is about to be disbanded due to lack of members. They manage to recruit Tsumugi Kotobuki to play the keyboard, meaning they only need one more member to get the club running again. Yui joins, thinking it will be an easy experience for her to play the castanets, the only instrument she knows. However, the other members think their new addition is actually a guitar prodigy…

More moe-moe, tea-drinking rubbish; but at least this time round I know that’s what it is! I know I’ll end up watching this even though the 1st series left me bitterly disappointed and disillusioned with KyoAni. Have zero expectations of this 2nd season, but my completionist nature will compel me to watch it (and slag it off shamelessly) regardless

Sarai-ya Goyou (House of Five Leaves)

Website: http://www.goyou-anime.jp/
Animation Studio: Manglobe (Samurai Champloo, Michiko to Hatchin)
Japanese Airdate: 15/04/10
Number of Episodes: 12
Seiyuu: Daisuke Namikawa, Takahiro Sakurai, Ao Takahashi, Fuyuka Oura
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdyiHmINg1s

Summary: Adaptation of Ono Natsume’s manga series, airing in the noitaminA timeslot.

The story follows the lives of the House of Five Leaves gang members in Edo-era Japan during the height of the shougun’s rule. In particular, the masterless samurai (rōnin) Akitsu Masanosuke finds himself desperate for work after being let go by one lord after another for his naïvety. He becomes the bodyguard of the House of Five Leaves gang’s charismatic leader Yaichi and discovers there is more to the gang leader than his criminal activities would suggest.

Manglobe and Noitamina!? I am all over this one, I really like the artstyle (although the character designs are bit unattractive) and the concept sounds like it has lots of potential. The music in the PV is also excellent and the cast is extremely promising. Manglobe have a very good track record so I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with this series – apparently the manga is very good. Plus its Noitamina – that automatically means I’ll try it

Yojou-Han Shinwa Taikei

Website: http://yojouhan.noitamina.tv/
Animation Studio: Madhouse (Aoi Bungaku, Kaiba)
Japanese Airdate: 22/04/10
Number of Episodes: 11
Seiyuu: Maaya Sakamoto, Shintaro Asanuma, Keji Fujiwara, Hiroyuki Yoshino
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JwFlDUx7Ek

Summary: Based on a novel by Morimi Tomihiko, airing in the noitaminA timeslot.

The story follows a nameless protagonist who is a third-year college student. The protagonist looks back at the earlier years of his college life and his adventures with a particular circle (club).

The 2nd Noitamina series this season – and this is one is just trippy! Seems that the director of Kaiba is on board for this, and if the trailer is any indication, I’m expecting a visual feast…….however it could get all wrapped up in its own artsy-ness and turn into a complete mess I’ll be giving it a go since sometimes its nice to watch something completely different – hoping its genius rather than folly.

Heroman

Website: http://www.square-enix.com/jp/anime/
Animation Studio: Bones (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Fullmetal Alchemist)
Japanese Airdate: ?/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: ?
PV:

Summary: Based on story by Stan Lee and illustrated by Tamon Oota.

The story will centre on a boy named Joey who discovers a toy robot near the west coast of the United States. Then, the toy becomes Hero Man, a giant robot that Joey pilots against evil threats.

OK Bones what the hell? – that’s a robot covered in the Stars & Stripes! When I cried out for some mecha, this really wasn’t what I had in mind This just sounds like it could be a complete disaster……but its Bones and written by Stan Lee, so could actually be a hit. Something inside me is screaming ‘avoid’ though – my instincts are usually pretty decent Regardless the studio means I’m compelled to check this out.

Angel Beats!

Website: http://www.angelbeats.jp/
Animation Studio: PA Works (True Tears, Canaan)
Japanese Airdate: 04/04/10
Number of Episodes: 13
Seiyuu: Harumi Sakurai, Hiroshi Kamiya, Kana Hanazawa, Emiri Katou
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQNipo08ejM

Summary: A mixed media project originally conceived by Maeda Jun with original character design by Na-Ga, from Visual Art’s/Key.

In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. On the other hand, Tenshi, the chairperson of the student council for the world after death, battles against the SSS members. SSS members utilize armed weaponry to battle it out against the angels harnessing supernatural powers.

Key series not adapted by Toei or KyoAni? This has to be worth a look. Angel Beats definitely fills the moe quota for the season, but I’m delighted to see some weapons and the potential for action (even if main girl looks a touch like Haruhi). PA Works have proven that they can do excellent animation work, they just need to work on their series composition and writing…….Key series are generally well written so if Angel Beats is paced well this could be a very good series. Checking it out.

Kiss x Sis (TV)

Website: http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/kiss_sis/
Animation Studio: Feel (Shikabane Hime: Kuro, Kanamemo)
Japanese Airdate: ?/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Ayana Taketatsu, Ken Takeuchi, Yuiko Tatsumi, Asami Imai
PV:

Keita has two older step-sisters, Ako and Riko, but since they aren’t related by blood, they love him in a lustful way. After a mishap at school, Ako and Riko finally confess their love to him. Keita dislikes the thought of seeing them other then brother and sister, but as he tries to enter the same school as his sisters, he slowly becomes attracted to them.

Can someone please tell me why on earth this needed to be made into a TV series – was an OVA not enough!? I mean to say – incest, why!? Kamina save us! I’m morbidly curious as to how censored the TV broadcast will be though

Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitte Iru

Website: http://www.uraboku.jp/
Animation Studio: JC Staff (Shakugan no Shana, Aoi Hana)
Japanese Airdate: ?/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Souichiro Hoshi, Takahiro Sakurai, Akira Ishida, Daisuke Ono, Jun Fukuyama, Mamoru Miyano, Marina Inoue, Shinichiro Miki, Yukana
PV:

Summary: Adaptation of Hotaru Odagiri’s boys-love manga.

Sakurai Yuki is a mysterious boy with a mysterious ability. He was found in the bushes as a baby and adopted by his current family. Because of this, Yuki strives for independence. The last thing he wants is to be a burden to anybody. Furthermore, when he touches others, he can feel their emotions. Unable to control his ability, he often made insensitive blunders in the past. With death threats and his abilities increasing, what will happen when a man claiming to be his older brother appears?

Finally! A series for my Inner Yaoi Fangirl to watch – she’s been starved of yaoi-ness since the Junjou Romantica S2 finished airing! Not overly enamoured of the bishie designs in the promo art though However the cast has triggered fangasms – so many of my favourite seiyuu all working on one series – and its JC Staff, so animation will be fairly decent. Yeap shall be watching this as my guilty pleasure

Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan

Website: http://www.otomate.jp/hakuoki/
Animation Studio: Studio DEEN (Fate/stay night, Umineko no Naku Koro ni)
Japanese Airdate: ?/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: ?
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6KEEEjV0hQ (game PV)

Summary: Based on a PS2 game.

The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru is the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo. The father leaves Edo to work as a volunteer doctor and moves to Kyoto without his daughter. As time passes by, Chizuru starts worrying about losing contact with her father, so she decides to go to Kyoto in search of him. On the way, Chizuru is attacked by few criminals and witnesses a fight between an oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody and saving her, the Shinsengumi debate on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. So they decide to become Chizuru’s protectors and help her look for her father(the doctor). Lots of events happen while she stays with the Shingensumi, as they discover mysterious secrets and also fight against the Bakumatsu group. The story is overall romantic with a historical and political background.

Hmmm, I see the feared ‘Game Adaptation’ tag which raises alarm bells immediately. Game adaptations are nearly always dire The promo art is [i]pretty[/i, however I can’t see this being anywhere near historically accurate as I doubt the Shinsengumi where a bunch of bishounen with nothing better to do than serve as guards for a damsel-in-distress type heroine Sensing a potential disaster but will try the 1st episode out as my shallow fangirl side is craving bishies

Working!!

Website: http://www.wagnaria.com/
Animation Studio: A-1 Pictures (Kannagi, Valkyria Chronicles)
Japanese Airdate: ?/04/10
Number of Episodes:
Seiyuu: Jun Fukuyama, Kana Asumi, Daisuke Ono, Eri Kitamura, Hiroshi Kamiya
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xYTG0wFTSg

Summary: Based on a four-panel manga by Takatsu Karino.

The story is set in a family restaurant named Wagnaria in the northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido. Sōta works part-time among the restaurant’s high-spirited, mysterious, yet cool staffers.

So I read the summary and looked at the promo pics and went ‘meh, slice of life 4-koma – pass’. But then I looked at the cast list and watched the PV and suddenly felt a bit more interested *is shallow beyond belief*. There are more cliché’s than I care to count in that short PV, but if the writing and acting is good, this could be an enjoyable wee show. I’ll give it a look to see how it goes.

Iron Man

Website: http://bd-dvd.sonypictures.jp/marvelanime/
Animation Studios: Madhouse/Marvel (Mouryou no Hako, BECK)
Japanese Airdate: ?/04/10
Number of Episodes: 12
Seiyuu: ?
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4Q7xgxDJh4

Summary: Adaptation of the Marvel Comic.

Born Anthony Edward “Tony” Stark, he is an industrialist playboy and genius engineer who suffers a severe heart injury during a kidnapping in which his captors attempt to force him to build a massively destructive weapon. He instead creates a powered suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity. He later decides to use the suit to protect the world as Iron Man. Through his multinational corporation, Stark Industries, Tony created military weapons and his own metal suit is laden with technological devices that enable him to fight crime. Initially, Iron Man was a vehicle for Stan Lee to explore Cold War themes, particularly the role of American technology and business in the fight against communism. Subsequent re-imaginings of Iron Man have gradually removed the Cold War themes, replacing them with more contemporary concerns such as corporate crime and terrorism.

I’m not a fan of Marvel comics really – haven’t even seen the Hollywood Iron Man movie. However I’m a fan of Madhouse and they’ve been given free rein to adapt this however they please, and the PV looks pretty damn cool!

Sex Pistols

Website: http://s-pistols.com/
Animation Studio: ?
Japanese Airdate: 26/3/10
Number of Episodes: 2
Seiyuu: Tomokazu Sugita, Wataru Hatano, Hiro Shimono
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FZfr3WQ3Lc

Summary: The 2003 sci-fi story deals with romantic relationships between human men that evolved from animals besides monkeys, such as leopards and bears.

Talk about your weird concepts, yaoi bestiality?? – this sounds all types of wrong! Character designs are hideous – haven’t a clue who the animation studio is, but the cast is reasonable…….however don’t think my Inner Yaoi Fangirl is depraved enough to want to watch this

Tono to Issho

This looks hilarious – will definitely watch if it gets subbed!

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn

It is said that the Vist Foundation manipulates the Earth Federation and Anaheim Electronics from behind the scenes. Hoping to create a new world, the Foundation attempts to hand over a certain secret to the Neo Zeon remnants known as the Sleeves. This will mean the opening of Laplace’s Box, which holds a great secret tied to the origins of the Universal Century. The exchange between the Vist Foundation and the Sleeves is to take place at the manufacturing colony Industrial 7. This is the home of the student Banagher Links, who rescues a girl he sees falling through the colony’s zero gravity area. The girl gives her name as Audrey Burne and says she wants to prevent a war, spurring Banagher to step into the conflict surrounding Laplace’s Box—almost as if he is drawn in by his own bloodline.

I’ve already seen the 1st instalment, and my mecha fangirl side loved it to bits!  A welcome return to the Universal Century.

Kyaa~! Now this is the yaoi series Inner Yaoi Fangirl is looking forward too The original OVA was really short, but excellent – there’s quite a lot of depth to the setting so it really deserves a longer running time – definitely watching.

Summary: Based on the manga by CLAMP.

This OVA will focus on the new arc of the xxxHOLiC manga series – Rou. It will be released with volume 17 of the manga.
Director Mizushima Tsutomu and Production I.G. will continue to produce this OVA series, with Nanase Ookawa of CLAMP writing the script.

Definately one for the fans – those who have only followed the anime adaptations will probably be completely lost when Rou comes out.  I am a huge fan of xxxHOLiC though, so I can not wait to see this OAD!  Kyaaa~ Watanuki!  Yuuko! Doumeki!! *Squee*

So thats, that! As ever keep an eye on the Fansub Wiki for information who subs what. I’ll update the post whenever Crunchyroll starts announcing what series they are getting.

As usual I’ll be reviewing the 1st episodes of most shows – look out for them in April!

*Information pulled from ANN, Fansub Wiki, Wikipedia, AnimeNFO, MAL……..and a whole heap of places I forgot to write down :D*
