Naruto – Chapter 497

So its been a while since I bothered writing an entry on Naruto since the manga has been terribly dull recently.   However this chapter was just random enough to make me want to post something! 😆

So Killerbee has exhausted himself helping tame the Kyuubi, Naruto is on his own – so what does he do?  Well same thing Naruto always does, charge in head first with little to no plan and start spamming variations on his Rasengan.

You know, once upon a time the Kyuubi was this great demon – the ultimate embodiment of evil in the series.  It was always there looming in the background threatening to swallow Naruto’s humanity and go on a murderous rampage.  Sure it looked like a gigantic orange bunny sometimes, but it was still badass – seeing it reduced to a state where Naruto can do damage to it and play tug-o-war with its chakra, is really quite depressing.

Of course Kyuubi’s chakra is still toxic and can cause terminal emo-ness – so Naruto of course gets the standard flashbacks to his crappy childhood of neglect.  But all is not lost!  Randomly Mummy Uzumaki appears in Naruto’s head!  What the hell?  Minato really screwed up that seal – not only did he seal a bit of his own soul along with the Kyuubi into his newborn son, he also seems to have sealed a bit of his wife’s soul too! 😆  Wonder what kind of pep-talk Kushina will give Naruto?
